Tom Miller

A unique combination of extensive musical training and a broad range of experience in world beat music, conspire to make Tom Miller one of the more culturally diverse musicians working today. Tom has performed widely throughout the U.S., Europe, Mexico, Japan and the Caribbean with Pan Ramajay, as well as such notable artists as Andy Narell, Michael Manring, Paul McCandless, Our Boys Steel Orchestra and as a member of the Windham Hill recording artist group, Montreux. His playing can be heard on a scores of film scores, numerous recordings of artists such as John Denver, Barbara Higbie and Allison Brown. Tom's work is featured on the Fox Network series, Key West, ad's for Minute Maid soda and the Sony Handicam.

Tom is a proud four-time recipient of grants from the prestigious Meet the Composer series, fostering creation, performance and education of new audiences for contemporary composition.

Tom's dedication to the future of musical education has brought him invitations as guest clinician and performer at such campuses as the University of Illinois, University of Akron, West Virginia University, Western Illinois University and California State University at Long Beach, along with numerous other college, secondary and elementary school programs throughout the U.S. Tom has also been on the faculty of the Haystack Summer Program for the Arts, Cazadero Music and Art Camp, Santa Cruz Jazz Camp and the renowned West Virginia University Summer Steel Drum Workshop, under the direction of master steel drum tuner Ellie Mannette.

A native of Cleveland, Ohio, and a graduate of the University of Akron, Tom currently resides in the San Francisco Bay Area.
